There's only one correct decision...

Many women face the "alcoholic boyfriend" delemna and try to works things out. Rarely do they end in happiness. I'm gazing into my crystal ball and oh woe is the one who dates the young alocoholic thinking that it will get better with time...it gets worse with time. Run for your life! Run like I just lit your panties on fire with a match! This is the point of the conversation where you start thinking with your brain, not with your emotions. Can you do that? I don't know, who knows but you. You can settle, you can say to yourself, "Ah, 20% crap ain't all that bad...could've been worse?" True, you could say that, wouldn't be the first time, would it? 80% good seems tempting because, well, gee...every honey's man has flaws don't they? Alcoholics and druggies are the worst possible boyfriends you'll ever take. Problems will envelop other aspects of your life like you'll never know. He'll make nicey-nice for a while, you'll let your guard down, he'll come in late after doing some ex somewhere, you'll storm out. Do you kinda see where the Mtnnn Mannn is going with this? I've seen alcoholics in my frat, seem them in the family, up close and personal...I'm an expert. Why start out life with a loser? Are you that desperate for a guy that you have to accept one with major, life-changing flaws? Do you want your daughter and son to see dad hooked on Budweiser Select and Johnny Walker Red for the rest of his days? I close the door on alcoholics and leave them for other unfortunate souls to deal with. Call it harsh, call it unfeeling...call me happy and structured. That's what you want for yourself, that's what you want for your future kids. Happiness and structure. Anything less is unacceptable. The most important choice a woman will ever make is her choice in a man. That determines your life's path, whether women want to admit it out loud or not. Same for a guy. We better choose correctly the first time around or life is gonna be hell! Just look around you...look at all the dysfunction around you. You should take this advice, mull it over, start your exit stragegy and in 10 years you'll remember my advice on Curezone, early Feb. 2008, as the best kick-in-the-pants session since Dr. Phil! Oh, I see by the clock that our time is up...you can go now. "My name is Jennifer...and I'm the girlfriend of an alcoholic."..."HI, JENNIFER!!" You really want to have to stand up and utter those words?
