OK, that makes sense. We have a lot of wild Blackberries in Arkansas too. However, it is usually hot and dry when the berries ripen. All we have to deal with is big green Junebugs and chiggers. I hate chiggers, but the mold sounds pretty bad too, especially if it gets in your lungs.
