This is my daughter Maya. She's had eczema since she was a baby. After her first birthday, she experienced an enormous flare-up, the first of many. Her entire body was covered with large, red scaly spots. Her pediatrician prescribed steroids and told us to remove cow's milk from her diet and replace it with goat's milk. This treatment seemed to work; she recovered very fast.

However, she soon started getting colds all the time that got progressively worse. We worried that her new symptoms were due to the steroids, since they're such a strong type of medication. We also worried that we hadn't solved whatever underlying problem was there.

  1.Stopped drinking lager & switched to Guinness or cider with ice (kills the bubbles/co2)
  2.Eat oranges or citrus fruit (lemon juice in water,s squeeze on fish etc), even though they are acidic they are alkaline forming when ingested !
  3.Use fractionated coconut oil as moisturiser (it's had all the long chain fatty acids removed & is only medium chain fatty acids+ it's cheap on Naissance web site (brilliant stuff)
  4.Try to have a more alkaline diet.
  5.Follow this guide and you should be normal again within days I promise you.
  I now have the best skin ever

  How long time since you discontinued using synthetic steroids?
  
  I believe you are suffering from the steroid addiction and steroids withdrawal syndrome.
  
  It may sometimes last for many months or even years after a person discontinues using any steroidal medications, topical or oral.

For more than a decade, cosmetics manufacturer Mario Badescu allegedly added two unlabeled topical steroids – hydrocortisone and triamcinolone acetonide – to two of its “botanical” products, Control Cream and Healing Cream. As a result, hundreds of people became unknowingly addicted to topical steroids in the product and suffered skin problems from withdrawal after the creams were recalled. Topical Steroid withdrawal wreaks havoc on the skin, causing Red Skin Syndrome, which can include oozing, swelling, spreading eczema and intractable itching for months at a time.

Hundreds of adults in the ITSAN support group also used Derma-Smoothe FS, and parents of children suffering from steroid addiction complained of using it liberally on their children at a doctor’s direction.

ITSAN president Kelly Palace says “Many steroid-addicted people have no idea these drugs are so dangerous, and that they need to be labeled with each ingredient, as well as with warnings of potential addiction.” Kelly herself suffered Topical Steroid Addiction and horrible withdrawal. “I was prescribed Derma-Smoothe FS and told to use it liberally – that it was safe enough to put on a baby, contained no steroids, and was a good moisturizer.”

so, I was constipated this entire weekend, and my skin on my face flared up like crazy, and I was wondering if my intestines could be the cause of it. I have been flared up, and use topical steroids (I know baddd).

    Dont worry about it. It will heal fine and it really doesnt hurt that bad. I think it is a very necessary step. I think it should be everyones first step. Even if it shows nothing like most peoples' do (but not everyones!) it will still eliminate many of the most common hypotheses.

  Yes, I've used them. I am about 99% positive that they contain hidden topical steroids. They work just like steroids do, they work very well and very quickly, then after discontinuing use for a couple months and using it again, it didn't work nearly as well, just like topical steroids.
  
  Plus they claim it's 100% natural, but the ointments are pure white and smell like a medicine cabinet. When is the last time you saw all natural ointments that are greasy, white, and smell like chemicals?
