Hi there! I appreciate your response to my cries here! I don't know why they wouldnt treat her ears either. That I thought should have continued since it was possible she was off in her equilibrium and could interfere with her eating and drinking but that medicine they gave her according to a article I read last night is for ear mites. Thats confusing since they said it was a ear infection but how can you tell that by a q-tip swab? Well I am not a vet so maybe they can but I was wondering all the same. She want's to live but she is stubborn too. She clenches her jaws shut so you can force liquid or pills down her. But you can tell she trys hard to eat but she is tired of feeling bad too. I love her sooo much , she so loving , I really hope they find out her reasons for not drinking especially. I left another message below giving some more detail but again I thank for responding. Its not easy to deal with , When you feel so helpless to do anything. I have been trying to do my homework though. What about Auria? I hope I spelled that right? Could that be her problem? Or can ear mites go deep into the ears and cause worse problems? Thanks for you support it is greatly appreciated.

This vet office is soooo busy and they haven't went into details with me about all of this. I am going to go in tommorrow and make them give me more details. They did bloodwork and I think everything but the kidneys was in normal range. The kidneys was in the high at the starting point of the graph. My cats breath doesn't stink and we had a cat one time with kidney failure and she did stink and so did her breath. She also drink excessively and past alot of urine when she would go to the bathroom. I am not seeing this with this cat. She Did start eating better today still no water though. She is getting some liquid from water in tuna. She will not eat cat food still but she seems to eat tuna in water fairly well. She does lap the juice dry but she won't touch water by itself. I have been trying to mix in alittle water with wet cat food and she will lick once or twice but thats it. She is sleeping alot which she has always done. I still don't understand her balance problem unless it is her ears. They didn't do anything but stick a long q-tip in her ear and they said" Look at all that earwax and gunk in her ears" They said she had a ear infection. Only thing is I was looking at a article last night on ear mites and the medicine she gave me is for ear mites because the article gave a list of medicines to use for ear mites and that medicine was listed. Its Tresaderm. It also said not to use ear mite medicine on ear infections because it could make them worse. So I am going to ask them about that tommorrow. She will lay her face in my hand while she is sleeping and all of a sudden she will wake up and shake her head. She did walk alittle further today before the fell down but I think maybe the tuna helped her alittle. She still has to be coaxed somewhat to start eating but once she starts eating the tuna she does fairly well.Can earmites go deep into the ear and cause other problems?
I don't know if they did a urine concentration on her but I will ask them because from what I have read she doesn't sound like she has kidney failure. What could explain the high reading even though it was on the low end of the high? Thanks for information too by the way. My cat can be confusing sometimes but she really wants to live, I can tell. Like I said she stopped drinking first, then eating, then the shaking her head started and her falling over. It was all kind of space out in time between the symptoms. Thanks for any more info you might have. I just wanted to make sure We could find out her problem so she doesn't have to suffer anymore. I don't want to put her to sleep because I see she is trying to live but I don't know how much longer she will eat if she still is having all these problems. I don't want her to give up because she can't get any relief. Thanks again!!!

Sorry one more thing. She doesn't act like it hurts her when you push on her under belly anywhere. I don't know if that says anything but after she eats she always sits in a crouching postion for awhile which probably means nothing. Does a cat sleep with its eyes open? She seems to be doing alot of that. I didn't notice them being so open as they are now but I know she must be sleeping because she jerks. Sometimes her eyes are fixed and sometimes they dart back in forth when she looks like she is sleeping. Most of my cats eyes roll back in their head during rem sleep but I don't know maybe I am looking to hard for some clue. She does shake her foot like something it on it when she is awake and then she will usually shake her head. I know it sounds strange, It does to me but that is some of the things she is doing.

I never heard back from you, Read some of my posts on the pet forum. I realized something for you to ask your vet friend if possible. Her eye isn't look normal. She sleeps with one eye closed and one eye open somewhat. Her pupils are not the same. One will be slit and the other big and round. One eye looks bright the other one with the big pupil looks darker. Its kinda strange because this is on the same side of her body she leans to when she falls and its the same side of the body that ear problem is. SHe still is not eating hardly anything. I have to open almost 6 different cat foods before I find something she will eat and then its only small amount. she licks the juice off and then eat a few bites. Even when she is resting her head bobs slightly . I am so worried about her. I read that her platelets would be low and red cells high with high blood pressure if it was a stroke. I would think the vet would have addressed that in the bloodwork. All he said was the kidney bloodwork came out slightly elevated and they thought that was from lack of nutrition ( water, food) I am giving her antibotics ( baytril)once a day. I am at a lose. The vet wants me to finish those first but I am on my 5 day and nothing is better.It looks like the eye problem would be a taletail sign of something. That eye that the pupil is big never slits at all. She seems so sick. I hope your friend might have some better ideas. Thanks!!

Collodial silver like you get at walmart? Some as humans take? how much should I give her? Tablespoon wise . Thanks for the info. I have heard collodial silver can Help animals too. How much is it? Yeah she isn't getting any better. I don't know if she is just extremely weak, got cancer or had a stroke. It is so hard to tell but I know one side of her seems wrong. She falls to one side and that is the same side they said her ear had problems also her eye on that side looks different almost smaller. She sleeps with one eye closed and one eye open. Weird but it just happens to be the eye on the same side everything is going on to. So I am wondering if she had a stroke now. Who knows. I will try the silver. Let me know if its the same kind you use for humans and any special kind i should get. Thanks.
