I've only been using the Neti Pot for a couple of days and while my head still gets stuffed, it does clear out lots of mucus. The Neti Pot was suggested to me by my doctor (MD) who pointed out that you need to get rid of that mucus because it is filled with infectious viruses and/or germs. By clearing out the sinuses you are ridding yourself of a lot of infection that the body would otherwise have to fight, or just spread around. Yes, I've found it to be somewhat temporary too but by doing it several times a day I'm making good progress to getting rid of all of it.
Yeah, I'm that horrible guy who drinks his own pee and got rid of my decades of athlete's foot. Yes the nail fungus of any kind is in the blood stream and has to be killed there for a permanent solution.
I've tried numerous "alternative" stuff, from Zappers (what a waste) to the above, and a zillion things in between, but urine therapy has provided me with way more benefits than anything else. I'll be drinking it until my last breath, literally.
I'm not yet convinced that MMS is all that great. I've done h2o2 with some benefits, more than MMS. All MMS has gotten me so far is a horrible cold and fever. I continue with it because for the first few days I had more energy and slept much better, but even that has gone awry.
I struggled with fungus for years, I know what your going through. One last thing is that Tea Tree Oil was the best topical treatment I ever found for nail fungus.
Best in your quest.
"Surely that would be better all round for your body..I am not against the urine..as it obviously works.."
Better than UT for my body? Come on now, you have no idea what you are talking about. I haven't posted all the benefits of UT here, but they are so numerous there is now way I'll switch to anything else.
You practiced UT as a fetus - you were swimming in your own urine before you were born and it entered your lungs. Urine is extracted from your blood stream and was flowing through your veins minutes before you void it. Urea (the main ingredient of urine) is in all sorts of skin care and cosmetic products, eye drops (M-urine is but one), and over the counter products. It's cheap and easily available.
Your programming is showing.
"As I said I have nothing against urine therapy at all! I just wondered why you pershaps did not include alkalising drinks too!"
That isn't what you said. You said that the alkalizing drinks would "..be better all around for your body" implying that UT isn't as "good" as alkalizing drinks or that somehow UT wasn't good for my body. Do alkalizing drinks: Cure cancerous skin conditions? Kill nail fungus? Lower eye pressure significantly? (As in glaucoma.) Tremendously improve night vision? UT has done all of those things for me, and much more.
You will find another thread here on MMS about many people experiencing a head cold along with taking MMS. Some dismissed it as "that time of the year" - but not me. I got the worst head cold, with fever, that I've had in decades after working up to 6 drops 2 x a day. Yes it may loosen things up, but I'm also beginning to wonder if it doesn't make you more susceptible/lower your resistance to infections too. This is the second cold I've had in three months and I often go 3 or 4 years between colds. I quit MMS for a few days and am back on it now for a day or two.
By the way, I'm using a Neti Pot for my sinuses - have had it for a long time but this is my first use of it. Thought it would be uncomfortable but it isn't, and it does help to clear my sinuses.
I've done a lot of oxygen therapies including oral h2o2 and I'm beginning to question whether MMS is really beneficial.
"do you do dairy? eat grains? mix proteins and carbs? if so, its your diet."
Cold and fever from diet?
I'm on the Virginia Mason diabetics diet - 15 carbs maximum per meal - fewer than Atkins induction. Have been on it for 2 years and have never felt better. I don't do dairy. Grains kill you and don't hardly ever ingest them. Many days don't even ingest 1 carbohydrate, let alone 45. (Check out the Bernstein - Dr., MD aged 74 - diet - a Type I who controls it with very little insulin, and 3 carbohydrates per meal.)
What may have happened is that MMS may have kicked something loose that opened me up to a virus or bacteria. I'm now very leery of MMS but am continuing to see whether or not it is a short-term event. I've used many alternatives but have rejected loads of them even though they are the sacred cows of others.
"For some reason, MMS does give people colds. I think it's because your body is so busy dealing with the die off from MMS, that being exposed to cold and flu virii (or whatever they are) the body just doesn't have the resources it used to for fighting them off."
I tend to agree with you that if MMS is doing what many say it is doing, the body is so busy fighting all the stuff coming out that it can't cover all the bases.
I'm an old guy and have gathered many things into my reality but have also done a lot of cleansing. I had TB as a child (still have tumors in my lungs which have encapsulated the TB - have been told the TB is still live), cancer - without medical intervention, spent a year in Korea where we were exposed to all sorts of disease and sprayed from the air with DDT and on our bodies too. From the air it was for mosquitoes, on our bodies it was for lice. That was an era when all sorts of disease were still common. So my body has accumulated a lot of things. On being diagnosed with prostate cancer I began ingesting 4 and 5 cloves and more of raw garlic a day (garlic kills prostate cancer in the lab), and have done lots of gall bladder and liver flushes as well as a significant routine of oral hydrogen peroxide ingestion for several months. I'm convinced that I've cleared out a lot, but that there's more to go and will stay with MMS until I've done the 15 X 2. I'm currently staying at 6 X 2 until Wednesday to get through the holidays.
Another factor in my cold is that I quit my Vitamin C supplements because I didn't want to stop the MMS action. That could also be a big contributor to my cold.
By the way, garlic is a huge healer. It clears heavy metals out of the liver, which is where they accumulate. It kills parasites in the digestive tract - except for the eggs, so you have to keep at for a while. But garlic is a huge body cleanser.
I chew a clove of garlic and wash it down with water. If you peel a clove and let it sit or even refrigerate it, it begins to lose the allicin within about 10 minutes and if it sits over night the allicin is gone. The allicin is what is believed to give garlic it health benefits. Do not mix garlic and oil and store it that way because if there is any fungus on the garlic, it can grow while in the oil and create enough poison to kill you (and has done so).
Heating and cooking garlic also causes it to loose its allicin, so raw is best. However, the Japanese have done a lot of university level research regarding the health benefits of garlic and have produced a super garlic that they age and encapsulate in a product called Kyolic. It is expensive for what you get, but supposedly has lots of benefits. There are also other high allicin garlics such as Pur-Gar and there are arguments for both kinds. I prefer mine raw, though I do include it in cooking when I can.
Oh yes, family and friends. I was married to a woman who believed in natural everything, but when I began eating raw garlic after being diagnosed with prostate cancer - some mild objections came along with it. My ex worked in the out-of-doors and one of her co-workers ate loads of garlic because he spent a lot of time out in the field and would drink from streams without adding anything to the water and he never ever became ill. But while he was in the office working, he got so many complaints about the odor that he quit. Next time he went into the field and drank stream water, he got sick. Garlic does kill and protect from parasites and a lot of other things.
My family of origin never had garlic in the house so my first association with it was with the people I met during my year in Korea. I don't remember ever meeting and talking to a Korean (in Korea) who didn't have garlic on their breath. I loved the aroma, I never felt the least bit offended by it and I don't understand why it is such a verboten element in this country (USA). We are so pressured by our peers that it's a shame we bend to please others. However, I do walk to the beat of a different drummer and am happier because of it.
