Day 16
It's all downhill from here!
Date: 7/11/2006 7:56:41 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 3077 times After two days on the Master Cleanse, I am so done. I have had the most acidic, gassiest stomach. Ugh. The good news is that with only three ingredients, it'll be easy to narrow down the offender and eliminate it from my diet. I'm pretty sure it's not the cayenne, because I've been drinking cayenne water a couple of times a day since I started the fast and been just fine. I think it's the lemon. Actually, I think that anything citrus is bad news for me. That makes sense, since my skin is sensitive to Vit. C products. I get a rash of tiny blisters. Back to fruit juice...
Well, I've finally reached the downhill side of this journey. I think once you reach this point, you're pretty much in it for the long-haul. Had another bad day yesterday, ending with an awful nightmare. I had this dream that I went on a wild food binge. I was eating cake and kim-bop (Korean sushi) and just eating and eating and eating... I woke up so mad at myself, and then realized it was a dream. My undergrad degree is psychology, and I don't know what to make of this dream. Was it my hunger just invading my sleep, or was it a cleansing dream, reminding me of my binge-eating ways and attempting to make me aware of the root cause? I wish I could remember what triggered the binge in my dream... I was soooooooo hungry last night, and my stomach just ached from the MC. They kept showing commercial on TV for the Arby's chicken sandwich, and I actually found myself drooling, so I turned off the TV and picked up a book. Of course, the characters in the book were eating pizza and donuts. Food is EVERYWHERE, and it's definitely not the good stuff. I realize that this will be an uphill battle my entire life, and it depresses me.
A friend asked me yesterday if I was afraid of becoming anorexic. You know, if it is my lot in life to fight an eating disorder, I'd rather fight anorexia than binge-eating. Isn't that pathetic?
