Soccer, Juicer and Soreness

I got a hold of someone at juicersforless.com to check on my shipment. They were very nice and said that it would be shipped yesterday or today (I’ll believe it when I see it). I was planning on starting my fast today (at least this was my plan a couple of weeks ago when I actually thought I would have my juicer by now) so I am going to push it back to Monday.
I meet with a mentor at church to talk about Christ centered fasting and found it very enlightening. She has had lots of varied experience with fasting and offered her own opinions, experiences and insights about fasting and how it has affected her relationship with God. Very interesting! She was also very excited that I came to her about fasting because although fasting is a very common practice in the bible it has for some reason been a neglected practice in the modern church. She gave me some reading material and told me that I need to have a clear plan as to when I will be praying and for what my intended purpose is. All in all…a very good meeting.
I’m sore from Yosemite but I have a soccer game on Sunday. I hope that I’ll not be so sore when I play that game. Anyway, perhaps I’ll write this weekend, perhaps not. If I get my juicer I probably will.
As for V8 yesterday…that didn’t work out. I will be drinking just water today for a short little “pre-fast fast”. It will be only 36 hours but will be helpful. I’ll eat a little on Sunday (only healthy things) and hopefully start the fast on Monday.
