Life becomes the prayer
We have the freedom and capability to change our world from within ourselves.

When our heart and mind are one, we send the strongest message to our cells and to the world around us which is touched thru its contact with our heart and our DNA. An experiment done at the Math and Heart Research Institute in California found that light photons (the stuff of which our universe is made) are effected by human DNA. Random photons of light existing in what researchers believed at first to be a vacuum, became patterned after coming into contact with human DNA. This pattern remained even after the DNA was removed.
Gregg Braden believes the Essenes taught that the “optimum quality of feeling” is a feeling of appreciation, or gratitude. This feeling signals the brain to release “life affirming chemicals.” Our heart is telling our brain that life is good and worth living, and the brain responds by continuing to tell our body to produce those chemicals/hormones which are essential to a vibrant, healthy body. Simple, isn’t it? The converse is also true. If we are distraught, depressed, angry, violent, judgmental … our heart is telling our brain that all is not well. Perhaps, in some cases, it is screaming to the brain, get me outta here. I can’t stand it anymore” … and the brain responds by sending ‘life denying’ chemicals into our bodies systems. Can it really be that simple?
What do I have to be grateful for, some might ask. I can only respond, I hope you can find something. Be it a sunrise or sunset, a lovely piece of music, a person that love/d you, a beautiful day, your smile, your eyes, your job, your shelter, a hot shower -- Whatever it is, find it. And be grateful for it. I think that many of us are rich with such things, if we would only take time to smell the roses. Focus on the positive for as much of your day as possible. Your feelings of “well being” will not only help to heal your body, but will improve your world, your environment as the world responds to a kindler, gentler you.
To the extent that you can keep your heart and mind entrained, and that a pervasive feeling throughout your day can be one of gratitude for the world that exists within and around you, you can exert your “being” upon a field of energy that surrounds us and mirrors back to us y/our own well being. When one maintains an attitude of gratitude and appreciation for what makes us happy as well as the lessons we learn from the challenges and hardships we experience in life, one’s life becomes the prayer. And that prayer resonates throughout y/our world to the betterment of all.
