WEST COAST: The full eclipse will start at 3:25 a.m. PDT and last until 4:24 a.m. WEDNESDAY OCT 8
If you live in the western half of the U.S., the eclipse will turn the moon a burnt reddish orange for about an hour, yielding another blood moon. (The first blood moon lunar eclipse was on April 15, 2014--I stayed up late to see it and it was fantastic!)

Both of these Eco Art pieces are made from scraps of thread and gold candy bar wrapper, tissue paper over reused wax paper paint palette, reused cardboard, non-VOC glue and acrylic glaze, hand embroidery, repurposed frames from Goodwill Industries.

Inspired by the art of crop circles, I made these two cards with hand embroidery
There is a lot of controversy regarding crop circles--are they ”real,” or are they ”fake”? Well, seeing as how thousands of crop circles exist in physicality, they are all ”real”; the question becomes who or what made them, and why?
I kinda take a middle-of-the-road approach, believing that some crop circles are planned by humans--especially the obvious ones with written messages like ”take me to your leader” or with images of large-headed, huge-eyed aliens-- while others are spontaneously created by some other kind of energy.

It was so hot last night that I couldn't sleep, so I stayed up all night making greeting cards for fun.

All three cards are made from various left-overs scraps from other art projects--pieces of paper, hole punches, tissue paper, threads, other pieces of ”junk” lying around on my art table, beads. A friend gave me the red paper rectangles that were already nicely cut. The foil ”money” on the ”Abundance” card are chocolate candy wrappers. Nontoxic white glue holds everything together.

I've started a new, simple, quick and easy spiritual healing practice just a few days ago that helps put a smile on my face. You may want to try it for yourself!
Whenever I go into my bathroom during the day/night, I look in the mirror, smile at myself, look deeply into my own eyes, and say, three times, ”I love and accept myself just as I am!” Saying this makes my heart smile.
I also started doing this with people I’ve had challenges with. If I have a photo of the person I say it to the photo of them, if no photo is available, I close my eyes and imagine their face before me. Say, ”I love and accept (full name) just as you are!” 3 times--really really helps dissipate any uncomfortable feelings one may have towards others.

This is very relaxing; it empties my mind of worries and concerns and helps me to sleep.

This ”doodle art” was done over 4 nights, about two hours each night. To me, it looks like a stretched out, double-headed, strange-looking octopus!
