Lizard Totem 9 y
I've spotted two alligator lizards in my yard within this past week. The meaning of lizard totem.
Spotted in my backyard among the potted plants; I think this lizard is regrowing it’s tail--compare the length and coloration with the second lizard below.
Found in an empty plastic water bucket (I let him/her loose after the picture was taken).

This art piece reminds me of Zen gardens; I wanted to capture a bit of that peaceful quality in this small work of art.
A family member is an art student who uses napkins or paper towels to wipe excess paint off of brushes; instead of throwing them away, family member gives me the wipings to use in my art. This time, instead of paint the wiping was excess ink; the result was this interesting pattern of ink blotches on the textured napkin. The napkin was glued onto paper and coated with acrylic glaze to make it semi-translucent; this is used in the background of the art piece.**

Lots of rain followed by sunny days in Southern California has led to winter blooms of my bird-of-paradise plants. The bees love the sweet sticky sap dripping down the flowers.

Divine Creator
May we use this time of balance between the light and the dark to bring all the aspects of ourselves into balance.
May our hearts open and may we realize on every level that everything is One and Unified.
Help us to drink deeply of this Oneness and allow it to express in our daily lives.
Help us to stay in our hearts and open our perception so that any illusions of struggle, and blockages are released.

The energies of the Holy Days are upon us. Chanukah starts this week, melding into the energies of the Winter Solstice, then Christmas, Kwanza, and the New Year 2015. In the light of these energies, Spirit speaks to me of human suffering and tragedy, and an evolving human consciousness upon Earth.
This is a self-channeling. I sit down and ask the question ”Spirit, what am I to know this day?”, then ”take dictation”, writing down what I hear in my head. I’m participating in Panache Desai’s 21 Day Ultimate Energy Immersion session (consists of webinars/MP3 downloads/meditation sessions). (does anyone know?) I like to use scraps of all kinds in my art. A family member paints with acrylic paints and wipes off excess paint on the brushes onto paper towels. Instead of throwing them away, the paper towels are used to make Eco Art.

The paper towels were saturated with blue, grey, red and a few splotches of yellow acrylic paint from brush-wiping. Stayed up all night making this art piece. Going outside to watch the lunar eclipse for a few minutes on and off, this Eco Art was finished just as the eclipse was over at about 4:30 A.M. PDT.
