Know that there are hundreds of docs throughtout the world and many scientific studies that point to root canals being as bad as smoking for your health. 12 years ago I had root canal treatment on LR6 and LR7. LR6 started to smell when I touched the gum around that tooth and later developed an Abscess. You can make it dryer still. Mine usually stay in place for several hours, even overnight while I slept (or didn't as the case may be).  In fact as long as it stays in place it can't be too dry as the saliva will moisten it.     [End]

Yes I was having trouble with the consistency, it was messy and getting everywhere and I could not get it to stay in place. But I had another go today and made it much drier and was able to keep it in place for over an hour. Did you say there is not much point in adding Oregano or Clove oil to the clay?   [End]

Why is it difficult keeping the clay between the cheek and gum of the infected tooth? It CAN be tricky getting the clay to the right consistency so it stays there. The clay should be all moist but also dense enough to roll them into balls, etc that you put in the cheek. Of course during the day depending on your job you may or may not be able to get away with it anyway.   [End]

Thanks for the reply. I do not have any allergies but read that Glycerine which is added to many toothpastes coats the teeth preventing remineralisation. It can take 20 brushing sessions to remove the coating completely. https://givemethedirt.com/blogs/news/8509675-the-glycerine-in-your-toothpaste-is-ruining-your-teeth So I gave up my Sensodyne because of the Glycerin and Flouride content. Don't know anything on glycerol so I can't comment. It's hard to find Q10 without additives, but usually the benefits outweigh the issues unless you have specific allergies/sensitivities. One thing I wanted to caution you about is to not add anything with the clay. What clay does is absorb retain and excrete. Anything you add with it hoping for other benefits gets absorbed and excreted just like the bad stuff.   [End]

Thank-you for the reply which I have only just seen. I do still add 2 or 3 drops of Oregano essential oil once a day to the coconut oil I pull with but the smell around that 1 tooth keeps coming back. I found Bentonite clay almost impossible to get to stay in place. I have been using Clove oil diluted in olive oil for the last 3 days and apply it with a cotton bud around that tooth, it is difficult to get it to stay there though being a moist environment.   [End]

Thanks for the info. I have 100mg CoQ10 softgels and cut one open and squirt about a 1/3 onto the Coconut oil I pull with in the morning and eat the rest of the capsule with food about an hour later. I do have before pictures of my gums as I enquired about Pinhole surgery a few weeks back and the Dentist asked for pictures. So I will take pictures in 4 months time to see if the CoQ10 was effective. There are about 3 Dentists here in the UK that perform Pinhole surgery but it is very expensive so I wont be able to get it done. I have taken the step of not using Sensodyne toothp ...
