Another five years, another update. I still have my tooth....in a jar by my bed. I've had some major changes in my health. Three and a half years ago the tooth began bothering me again. It finally actually developed a small abscess.....right about the same time as I discovered I had lung cancer! No, I have never smoked. Fortunately it was discovered early. I attacked it with every natural cure I could find and by the time I had surgery, the surgeon told me the tumor looked completely dead. The tooth went back mostly to its previous state but I did have a little more frequent periods of slight discomfort. I always intended to get back to my previous routine of fighting any infection but I just got lazy and never did. Fast forward to today, I am facing a probable total knee replacement and any dental issues are viewed as quite serious. Also, my upper teeth are quite crowded. So I decided to kill two birds with one stone and get the tooth pulled. This just happened yesterday. The tooth withstood the very hard cranking she did with the pliers. It took about half an hour of pulling and it came out in one piece. I've had no drainage. The tooth still had sensation just like all the surrounding teeth right up to being pulled. Xrays of surrounding teeth show they are healthy. I find it fascinating that the only abscess I had in 10 years was when my body was also fighting cancer.
