Very nice post, indeed!! Our get together is planned for Dec 26. I have impressed on all my descendents and spouses that buying a gift for someone my age is as possible as putting toothpaste back in the tube. Simply their time and presence for a while is a great gift. Like little children, the memory of my presence will be there many years after their forgetting the physical gift I gave them. We had our annual Christmas gathering at my home last Saturday...21 in my immediate family for a sit down lunch (and 8 couldn’t come!) I LOVE Paulette’s idea. My son has a very large extended ”family” through his church and can’t afford to buy presents for all the birthdays and holidays. Hi Paulette, I’m not done with mine either. Last year my sister and I set a goal to be finished by Thanksgiving. We made lists, brainstormed for great gift ideas and sure enough by Thanksgiving we were done. It was a wonderful feeling. This year though... I think I didn’t start early enough.
