I noticed that the young soldier is still wearing a uniform. He took an awful risk to come out and say what he said. It is all true, but unfortunately, nothing will change for a long time, because at the root of the willingness to warmonger is religion and ideology, and those things do not change overnight. Any changes to the accepted way of operating will have to be made slowly. Face it, any politician that rocks the boat too muich will only survive as long as an ice cube in a frying pan, and as soon as he is ousted someone who is willing to reverse any changes made will be put in his place, because leaders govern by the consensus of the people. Very few people who were raised on religions that speak of chosen people, holy wars, them and us, and those sort of ideas are philosophically opposed to war. Most people will only oppose it when it hurts them or their families. Tweet
