You speak as though President Obama does not have to operate within a system, afterall, he cannot pass a decree and make every personal wish a law. Your political system calls for extensive lobbying behind every piece of legislation. You do not know what he is working on behind the scene. He has only been in office two years and has just passed one of the most important pieces of social legislation in American history, against a background of the most vitriolic opposition. From the reaction of the American public,one would have to wonder how a people could be so wrong headed, that social legislation that would help through better access to health care, to improve the quality of life of many Americans could be so bitterly opposed by the same Americans who sat back and watched the lives of their children being sqandered on unjust wars in silence, in the past. So effective has been the campaign to demonize President Obama that it resulted in the loss of a seat held by Democrats for over fifty years! Having overcome many of the hurdles with health care reform other changes will come, but President Obama is not a magician!
