Hi everyone,
I need help! All four of my grand daughters (except for the one year old who is showing an interest in dangerous tools and toilet paper) want anything "American Girl" and I am lost. I have looked on eBay, but since you can't really buy American Girl in stores, where is a good place to look? I know there is a catalog, too.

The baby doll on that page is only $42. That's not SO bad..
How old are your grandkids? I've never seen or heard of these dolls before. Personally, I think with young girls Barbies are always a good idea. $100 on a doll they'll grow out of? That's insane. You can get dolls just as nice for a lot cheaper than that.- Re: I need information! southern belle

My next one is six and she would like a trundle bed for her American Girl doll. Those beds are about $75.00!!!
My next one is five and she wants a Barbie doll, which I have already gotten.
The one year old is the one who is into dangerous tools and toilet paper, so she will be easy to buy for!

Oh I don't know for sure, but I'd suspect they are. I've read so much about how much it actually costs to make things. Like a CD only costs a dollar to make, but $20 to buy. it's all about profit. I had a friend from Hong Kong when I was younger, and she always used to go back to Hong Kong during the summer break. She'd come back with all these beautiful clothes and jewelery and decorative items... things that she got dirt cheap but cost a fortune over here.
