I agree as well - many people wish, but do not act upon their thoughts. But everyone has their own way of acting on their wishes. It's great that you feel safe opening up your home to homeless people. I wouldn't (neither would most people), for a variety of reasons. That being said, I donate to the food bank and do up boxes for Operation Christmas Child (one of my favourite organisations) - they send toys to children in poverty-stricken countries. How one acts is not the point, but rather the outcome. A prayer in the form of a wish doesn't hurt either though :)
