I’m interested to read this. I have a form of vitiligo called Leopard Skin caused by parasites. They basically destroy the pigment wherever they are, and it’s horrible. No fixing it. If they are spots that seem to have lost thier pigmentation and are not tan like the rest of her face then it is probably tinea corporis. Not a big deal, it is basically a fungal skin thing. If you want to try this, I would recommend trying on a very small area first. People HAVE reported skin irritation from topically applied lugol’s and the skin around your eyes is very thin and delicate. Personally, I would not. I would look into other potential reasons for dark circles. The fact is, with your fair complexion, I would imagine that ”dark circles” are somewhat normal for you. I don’t think the Iodine itself can cause Vitiligo. I have had some small Vitiligo spots on my legs for years, I think they showed up when they started taking Iodine out of the food supply and adding Bromine! Maybe there’s a Bromine connection? I’m afraid I didn’t do much research on vitiligo, at the time I was hell bent on finding a cure for melasma. My understanding of vitiligo is that the melanocytes themselves are underactive, or totally non functional, the opposite to melasma, where they are overactive but still require copper in order to convert tyrosinase into melanin.
