From the brief description I read about vitiligo, it can be caused by some chemicals containing phenols. It is my opinion that as long as you eat whole foods, no prepackaged foods with soy or chemicals, your diet can be as varied as you are willing to prepare. It seems to me you have enough to worry about without going on some 'strange' form of diet to bother with. Things to avoid, no matter what, nutri-sweet, MSG, hydrogenated oils, vegetable oils, anything with soy in it, foods cooked in a microwave. You may already be a member of the vitiligo support group, but just in case you're not, I've given the url. They have a forum/message board and would probably have answers to most of your questions about your condition.
