Haven't seen the study, but just one pointer, your math is the same math that drug companies use to push their products. you're taking percentages of percentages the actual difference of the 2 groups was 9%, not an increased 55% risk.
if you say that out of 10 out of 100 average people fell down today
and 20 people out of 100 pirates with peg legs also fell down
that's an increase in 10%, 10 out of 100 more people fell down
but if you say "well it went from 10 to 20 that's an incease of 55%!" it's incorrect.

it's the same strategy companies use when they say 50% more effective at reducing incidence of heart attacks when the actual disparity might be 20 out of 1000 people vs 40 out of 1000 people. the actual difference is 2%, not 50%.
