Re: Doctors Fail to Recognize Anti-Depressants Dangers

Bless your heart jurplesman.  I have read your site and links and I think they are wonderful!  The minute I saw it I said, "That's it!  That's the answer!"  And glycerin!  That's the other answer.  When I was at my sickest i was told about someone who went to a doctor who gave them something to drink and they were fine.  Of course, they didn't know the person any longer and had no idea who the doctor was.  Aaaaargh!

I suffered from panic disorders and was agoraphobic, together with the depression and phobias that come along with it.  It took me ten years to get well and I was terrified most of the time.  I was given Xanax and Tofanil at the beginning and then I was actually forced to take Paxil.  And I thought that medicine was going to kill me.  When I reached the point that I could do everything that a "normal" person could, I made an agreement with myself that I would start weaning myself off the medicine and I did rather effortlessly, although it took me six months.  But of course, at that point I was eating a proper diet.  When you are in a weakened state with a panic disorder, you don't have the energy or will to do much of anything, much less fix a proper meal.  I can see how the low sugar and adrenalin would have worked to promulgate this condition.  Had I only known this 20 years ago, I know my recovery would have been much faster.

I would be honored if you read my story entitled My Lost Years.

In order to get well, one must take responsibility to do all that is necessary to become fully functional.  Unfortunately, it is not an easy thing to do.  Too many just surrender to the prison that this disease builds.

You sir, are a godsend.

Hugs,

Luella
