Booked my appointment for hookworm inoculation

Hi there, so I did it, I booked an appointment with Autoimmune Therapies (http://autoimunetherapies.com) for the week of October 1-5.

According to the email they sent me the procedure takes three days, on the first they will give me a physical exam and draw blood to test for anemia and various disorders that can be found with bloodwork.

Two days later, assuming I pass the blood test and physical I go back to be inoculated. They just tape a small piece of gauze to my arm carrying the larvae. For asthma I only require 35, for Crohn's and Colitis the dose is higher, 50-75 larvae.

They say that if I am in the group that responds (2/3 achieve remission) I will start to improve at 8-10 weeks and if I am going to achieve remission it will by week 45.

Total cost is about $300 dollars for air fair (I live in northern California) and taxis, three nights in a hotel near the clinic, $300, plus the treatment, $2,900. So for $3,500.00 I get treatment and a short holiday in Mexico.
