Re: End of day 6 Water Fast: feeling very tired
You'd rather trust me than some MD, huh?
Well, thank you very much!
I'd rather trust me than some MD, too!
No, the "professional" I meant was someone knowledgeable in fasting.
I had a chiropractor/acupuncturist/nutritionist the first two "go-arounds".
The only MD I know of, knowledgable in fasting is the one who wrote the book: Joel Fuhrman MD.
My chiropractor also gave me his home telephone number (which came in handy). On a phonecall to his home on a Sunday, I had to break either my first or second fast based on my uncomfortable symptoms in the region of my heart.
Yes, I know, common sense stuff. But he also advised me on many other things, including NOT drinking more than a gallon of water a day...and being concerned of depleting my electrolytes.
Take good care of yourself!
If you do decide to break your fast before this lunch, Fuhrman recommends breaking a fast with watermelon. Eat a piece no bigger than your fist every two hours that first day, and a good portion size in four "meals" on the second day. I believe you can introduce things like tomatoes, zucchini, and cucumbers on the third day.
I'd have to look up my posts to see what the 4th day was, but I'm pretty sure you were at three small meals a day by that time - but NO MEAT YET...but you could do that too. Click on my name, and go back to March 15-April 15, or thereabouts, I think. If they're still there.
I apologize, I have to leave again.
