Edgar Cayce said the body only needs to consume four things, and out of these four things, the body will then have the capacity to
make anything else it needs...all the amino acids, minerals, vitamins, etc - in other words, basically the things that people sell for a profit. Of course, Cayce said we should have a basic healthy diet, and if we over-indulge, to keep it to a minimum. He loved to eat, just like the rest of us.
-----------------------------
The four things are:
1)
water
2)
salt
3)
soda
4)
iodine
(It's also important we allow the sun to shine upon our bodies.)
Now, of course, the quality of these things is key, of course.
1)Personally, I believe the
water should be as pure as possible. NO straight tap
water that is full of fluorides, chlorine, etc should come into our bodies! Distilled is best (IMO) or an R/O (reverse/osmosis) treatment device should be used, which will filter out up to 96% of the fluorides and chlorine that the city municipalities pump into our city
water supplies.
2)I was personally drawn to
this type of seasalt because it's from an ancient underground seabed, so all the minerals are still intact, and modern toxins are not found in it. I love this
salt! And yes, I can put it into my
saltshaker!
3)Most of the world has been found to be
iodine deficient, and you can learn more from the
iodine forums. Also, here are two good sites:

4)The tri-salts come into play after I (and Grzbear and others, obviously) were concerned exactly what Cayce meant by "
soda". This man died in 1945; so personally, I believe that we should look at what
soda means based on what man was referring to in those days when he used the word "
soda". In researching this, I believed that "
soda" meant calcium carbonate, and this goes along with what Phil mentions also on his website mentioned above (at the 2nd website).
However, there is another "camp" who believe that Cayce meant sodium of bicarbonate, which also just happens to be good for digestion. The other thing needed so often by the body, especially during the detox stage, is potassium.
After much prayer, I was Led to a product called Tri-Salts, which I purchase from my chiropractor. I could go into a long detailed story on this, but won't at this time. However, look at the ingredients:
Calcium Carbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Potassium Bicarbonate
Interesting, eh?
BTW, in answer to Grzbear, I had a wonderful (and smelly and gnarly) elimination after doing this, and I thank you for this information...looking forward to tomorrow morning!
Put it in a big glass - it foams unmercifully when mixed with lemon juice!
Now, for ANYBODY reading this, the big question, of course, is:
HOW MUCH of each of these four things are needed to be consumed daily by the body to keep PROPER BALANCE???
It's a very good question, and one that each individual must research for his or herself.
I am STILL at that stage, and would hate to tell anyone what they should do at this point concerning "how much".
May God Bless you all
