I was out doing the Spiritual side of my giving back to others this morn and early afternoon so missed the discussion up to now. I have definitely has similar issues.
Over the last 5 months or so I have gotten off the high protein/lots of low glycemic index merry-go-round. Started he drinks and the baths, then changed diet gradually. I eat less meat in a day now than I used to eat at every meal. I still eat the low glycemic index veg, if I can find good quality, hi-brix ones.
I can eat fruit if it is at least average brix and the line is at least medium fuzzy, indicating some mineral content. Only the chemically forced very high brix very sharp-lined fruit that is tantamount to eating pure sugar will set off a touch of candida, but no fear! The alk drink and detox baths will nip it in the bud!!!!
Now that I have a refractometer, I can not be fooled into eating poor quality food that will cause probs, as long as I test first. Since the first month or so, I have eaten fruit at least once a day, sometimes 3x a day without fear of a serious setback. Till the ML protocol, I had not been able to do this for around SEVENTEEN YEARS!!!!!!
A WONDERFUL discovery has been that I do very well on potatoes and japanese/okinawan sweet potatoes, provided I test their brix. If their quality is average or above, they give very stable energy, no blood sugar swings, no yeast/candida, disbiosis, or overeating/food cravings and are moderately alkalising for me. If their quality is poor, I just need enough ES, ACV, BSM along with the meal, and then I still do pretty well, just slightly more acidic than with the better quality.
I just finished my lunch. Came home late, so this was over 7 hours after breakfast. I had cold diced okinawan sweet potato and red potato with a homemade dressing of basil/cheese pesto and goat milk yogurt with plantain and bannana chips on the side. YUM, YUM!!!! I can now eat this every day if I choose, and NO disbiosis, NO candida/yeast outbreaks!!! No blood sugar swings, and OK waiting up to 6 or more hours between meals, if need be.
Still have to be cautious with grains. More than a small quantity once in a while tends to acidify me, even if they are sprouted b4 cooking and the BSM and ACV are added or eaten with. Am beginning to believe that as I heal this too may change...
THE KEY TO CONQUERING BLOOD SUGAR SWINGS AND CANDIDA IS GETTING THE HIHEST QUALITY FOODS POSSIBLE, NOT EATING MEATS AND ONLY LOW GLYCEMIC INDEX FOODS, AS IS OFTEN DONE!!!! WITHOUT HIGH QUALITY CARBS LIKE THE SWEET POTATOES, I HAD NO ENERGY, BRAIN FOG, ANXIETY DEPRESSION, ETC, ETC!!! Now, that is increasingly becoming a thing of the past!!!
Do a search with the search feature for this forum, regarding candida, leaky gut, hypoglycemia, low blood sugar, etc. There is a treasury of info from many of those who post here. Help yourself to any of it that may benefit you. It is our pleasure to share.
