The word Doctor in translation means Teacher.
Their is no teaching on a broader scale as to how to live to avoid degenerative diseases by your average Allopathic Doctor of medicine, and the first contact with these Doctors is when you have already succumbed to a chronic disease where they then prescribe pharmaceuticals as a first line of treatment.
Not very clever really is it.
