Re: Some more life experience

I love you Hanna~! I really appreciate that you jumped
into this thread as what you posted, I really needed to
hear.

I have always enjoyed older men or at least the ones
who were older but acted younger, and was married
to a man 10 years older than me for a long time.

These last years, I have attracted a range of men, but
it is the younger men, some young enough to be my sons,
that really felt so strange to me. I have never really
consciously made a habit of flirting with men that young
either, but have to admit that perhaps there are just young
guys who may like older women just as I liked older men.

Certainly, I do not have some of the other biases, like a
guy needs to be rich or look like they walked off the pages
of GQ, but I can see, after reading your contributions to this
conversation, that I DO have a problem with allowing myself
to fall in love with a younger man. One young man, a 6 foot
5 Adonis fawned over me to the point I allowed him to
visit and he came weekly. We were not intimate although
he sure worked hard to overcome my discrimination.
Looking back, I have to admit that he was a perfect
gentleman and we laughed and really did enjoy each
other's company. He so wanted to take it to another
level but I *was* more concerned what others would
think. My housemate at that time was a guy friend and
he would tease me that I was robbing the cradle~! I would
not have put it that way, although I did discover one time
after spontaneously asking my friend to see his driver's
license, that he was 3 years younger than he had told
me he was~! Anyway, I suppose I did not give myself
or him enough credit, as I imagine, based on the fun we
*did* have together, that it could have been a really
sweet relationship.

The next time, I will think to myself, now what would
Hanna do~! So, thanks, I needed help in peeling away
that barrier. You have always impressed me with your
attitudes and advice, but now, you have been put up
on a little mental pedestal as someone who really
reached for the "brass ring" and hung on~~!

blessings,
Zoe
