Just wanted to add my two cents since I'm in the SAME BOAT! I weight more than you and I'm only 5'4". One of the 'missing links' I found was low thyroid. I took my morning temp for several weeks and it is almost never above 97. I've started adding Lugols iodine and I'm hoping that'll kick up my thyroid again and up my metabolism so I can lose weight better. I am losing, but very slowly. I am doing all the right things and eating all the right stuff so I know that isn't the problem.
I know Moreless hates elemental iodine and I respect that, but I'm just learning about all this stuff myself and will probably move on to a good quality kelp in the near future as he recommends.
