stop!
230 is barely ok?!
What a racket for those who buy their own insurance.
I feel for ya!
Let me be clear however.
You may be easily able to down the LDL and TC.
A lot of people have higher than normal LDL due to LACK of good oil intake.
For most it is NOT a one to one sort of thing.
Meaning the body tries to overcompensate by producing much larger than needed amounts of LDL.
So if you use real extra virgin
OO (Olive-Oil) for cooking etc, take a good quality cod or fish oil (I love Carlson's) the body STOPS producing the extra LDL.
What you should see (if artery repair isn't needed first) HDL increase with a larger drop of LDL.
By the way, I would use
http://www.lef.org
for the TC blood tests until I knew it was ok.
Keep putting off the Doctor until you KNOW it's under control.
Otherwise the insurance company may kick you off!
