If I were you based on what you have just stated I would be drinking one to two fresh lemons in water a day and drinking and eating apples... maybe some dandelion root tea. Do a couple of liver flushes. If you feel you need the iodine, maybe take a maintenance dose of 2 drops a day... one morning and afternoon\night until you feel more comfortable with the way your liver is behaving.
After that, the rest is up to you.... we are all pioneers here.
