I agree!
>>denial because it's too emotionally overwhelming for them to face the truth<<
The enemy (in ANY fight)...DEPENDS UPON THAT TRUTH! It's one of their most-effective weapons. Frustratingly, in a battle for the existence/health of humanity, one the evidence is in a form that one HAS to face the truth, it's too late to do anything about it.
And there's the added aspect of human self-esteem & ego. A person that cannot emotionally face the truth (whom naturally attacks/accuses the 'freedom fighters' erroneously) quickly finds themselves in a place where to see the truth ALSO causes them to have to realize all the damage they have done by NOT facing the truth (and all the individuals/masses they have negatively impacted).
Hence, the normal reaction becomes to "fight" against the truth even harder - because now, it's not only the fact that it was emotionally brutal to deal with...they have the added burden of how their disbelief/lack of emotional fortitud has undermined 'the cause' and truly hurt others. Coming to grips with that is virtually impossible.
Double whammy.
You are one wise grasshopper :)
