Re: Silliness

Guess I find it hard to believe that such a mentality exists that would brand someone posting on the internet (myself) about a trace mineral that we are deficient in and who shares ideas about where to get the iodine, opinion about dosages, etc.

I believe in conspiracies, no need to convince me of that. History is full of it. And it's mostly about money. We have Eustace Mullins book, etc.

I can't imagine how the Conspiracy issue could become so entrenched in a health forum, but I do wonder about what is causing such paranoia, such anger. I've never experienced such biting & clawing.

There is a post on this forum where someone asked the question whether you get angry easily since being on Iodine, as it was happening to them. (Glad the light bulb went on for someone.) Interesting, that I had a recent e-mail conversation with someone regarding iodine, and she happened to mention that she'd just gone up to a 75 Mg. dosage and also that she had a row with her husband.

My husband and I have been into alternative medicine for a very long time. In fact, we knew Dr. Kelley when he had a clinic in Washington state near the Canadian border. He had a very difficult harassed life and apparently died a broken man. We've visited Dr. Jensen several times.

The sad thing is, we thought we were healthy because we ate whole foods, stayed away from chemicals as best we could, etc. Then health issues for us started coming up. Only in recent times did we realize that the whole planet is suffering such from a lack of minerals!! Iodine deficiency is well-documented, but I still believe in wholeness. (Also, we are denied minerals through what is happening even to organically grown foods -- like heating the whole grains -- which you are unaware of.)

I have only been on one other forum EVER (other than lurking), which was a Homestead forum about five years ago. But, minerals (especially Iodine) have been my special interest in the last months.

Many people on this forum seem to think that if a little Iodine is good a lot is better. I think that is a dangerous mentality. Now, if it's working, what can I say? But, I'm wondering whether it is NOT working for them, with the rampant anger and paranoia which they may be creating.
