Another function of sulfur is that the liver needs it to produce Peroxides (used around the body like Ozone would be to kill pathogens) and then to break down the Peroxides after they have done the job.
The creation part can be dysfunctional due to mercury or other heavy metals binding up the small amount of sulfur in the body and making NONE available for the liver.
BTW this can cause water retention by the liver and swelling, even closure of the valves. Same valves that Coffee Therapy opens…
The destruction part is also important because once the peroxides have done their job they must be destroyed else they will attack healthy tissue, especially if no anti-oxidants are present. Sulfur is required to break these down, no sulfur and the radical O1 will cause damage perhaps even turn good fat into cholesterol.
A broken sulfur cycle and your liver function is pretty much screwed...
