Re: The Norwalk Press

Sure,
Anytime, I'm not claiming to be an expert or anything like that.
I wish that I had been juicing all the years that you have.
I'm not surpised about the plastic taste. yeah, they fixed it
but there is another problem with the juicer, well two actually.
the first is that the press is weak. The link that I sent you
shows that 20% more juice and enzymes can be obtained if one
takes the leftover pulp from the Norwalk and re-presses it
with the Welles Press, or any manual juice press for that matter.
The second problem with the Norwalk unit is that the motor is
way too close to the juice, exposing the liquid to extremely high
sterilizing, moving magnetic fields and as well exposing cancer
patients to the same fields. Studies by physicians have proven that
cancer cells exposed to these types of fields grow like wildfire.
Probably one factor in the low success rate of Gerson clients
juicing at home compared to institutionalized patients.
I have found a solution to both problems and that is to cut the
juicer portion of the Norwalk away from the press unit and replace
the case for the juicer portion with a deep case moving
the motor away from the Juice/user. Then pressing with a manual press.
There is a solution to the stuff spitting out all over the ceiling as
well. I have found that when juicing, To put a little bit of veg. or
fruit in the chute with your hand over it and then to turn the unit on.
As you juice, always
only press half of the product being juiced down the chute, leaving
it half full. It will not spit back that way. I believe that with the
modifications to the unit and methods explained above that the most
beneficial juice can be obtained. My biggest problem is self discipline.
I wish that I had more of it.
