I'm so grateful that your daughter is seeing an abuse counselor!!!! Hopefully, she'll begin to see the onion layers fall away.

God bless you for caring enough - too many people refuse to "get involved," and the children are the ones that suffer the damage in the cruelest terms. At least, adults can rationalize and use their life's experiences to attempt to explain what happens. A kid has no means of reference.
