Re: Curlyzone
Hi onlyskindeep!
I am not following any special shower regimen. I never take baths since those are not recommended. I always take showers which are usually 20min long. Rarely I take it longer. I am not using any shower gels, only Dove bars for sensitive skin. I've been using them for a long time. Your suggestions are quite good too, maybe I can give them a try.
I have been to many doctors over the years. I've been in USA over the past 5 years, and my dermatologist in USA told me that I have chronic atopic dermatitis. She prescribed steroids every time I visited her. She never mentioned that I should modify my diet, or try to modify my daily life for healing, etc..
I lived in Turkey before I came here, and my doctor there had told me that I have neurodermatitis, which is a form of eczema. He had told me to avoid certain foods, it was a long list that included milk, tomatoes, pepper, potatoes, wheat, etc.. I do not remember the complete list though since I never followed that diet. I visited my doctor in Turkey recently when I visited my family and when I visited him I learned that he had cancer 5 years ago (around time I left for USA) and told me that he had beaten it by being optimistic about life, having positive attitude towards EVERYTHING, and he said that he could prescribe me steroids which would help me a little but told me that they are not the solutions. I should take quality multi-vitamin daily, eat healthy (no junk foods, soda, etc), should eliminate stress from my life as much as possible. He said you can fight with this eczema, do not expect anything else (like drugs) to help you. He gave me great advice actually. As far as I know doctors in USA are not allowed to say such things, and my doctor in Turkey also may not have told me these if he had not just beaten cancer himself. I knew him before he had the cancer, he still was a great doctor, and a very famous one, but still he did not gave me such personal advice at that time. I guess people learn healing methods by experience, and my doctor himself had experienced that the first step in healing is believing, and then taking appropriate steps. I would be grateful to him if he could also tell me how I could eliminate stress from my life while still I am at graduate school :)
A question for you: Are you following any internal cleansing regimen (colon cleansing/
parasite cleansing). I know there are many good programs out there (like drnatura.com, blessedherbs.com), and I may try one of them in future. Especially the "Blessed Herbs Internal Cleansing with Free Colon Cleansing Kit" looks great, but the price is too much for me at this time. May be in future :)
