Re: Curlyzone
Thanks Curlyzone. I will look into that. I had another question that came to mind. What is your shower regimen? Do you use any type of bath salts, specialty soaps or shower gels? I've been thinking about making a paste with
Epsom Salts and baking soda to wipe on all the dry areas of my skin prior to showering (not necessarily to soak in - I take showers, rarely baths) with a 100% shea butter soap that I use. The brand of soap is by L'occitane, which can be purchased here if your interested:
http://www.loccitane.com . Before using shea butter soap, I used Philosophy shower gels which worked pretty well. They can be pricey though. I've heard shower gels are ok as long as they don't have phosphate in them especially when you have sensitive skin or skin problems overall. I always try to make slight changes to see what results - slowly but surely. Glad your doing ok too. Like you, I have hope one day I will wake up and this will all be gone. What did your doctor say that you have? I have atopic dermatitis. The only severe dryness that I experience is after coming out of the shower - my skin dries out so quickly, I can't reach for the coconut oil fast enough. I feel we are on the same page in terms of the healing process. Another good resource I found on a fluke is
