Re: Need Help - Fairly Desparate - Sugar Sensitivity
Hi Onthejourney,
Your response makes the most sense to me so far. Your statement "If I would eat something wrong it would be like something was stuck in my stomach and make me feel slightly nauseated" is exactly what I'm feeling. It's as if whatever is in there just wants to get out and I can actually feel it working it's way down through my stomach and intestines as the hours go by. By the next day I'm better.
I'm not at all talking myself out of the diet! I've been perfect on the diet for 3 weeks, except, as I mentioned, when I get hidden sources of sugar, apparently. I travel for my job and it's tough to be on the road with such a strict diet.
I guess what' really bugging me though is that I told my Naturopath Dr. that I did not want to treat the Candida right now because I can't at the moment afford her charges which are not covered by insurance. This was back in early Nov. In spite of that she told me to take the Pau D'arco tea and the
Grapefruit-Seed-Extract which essentially is treating the problem. Since I didn't know that the Candida was being treated, I didn't (at first) adhere to the diet. I had two other times when I got this "stuck in the stomach nauseous feeling" but it cleared after a day or two. This time, it's been three weeks and it hasn't cleared. Do you think I should start back on the tea and th GSE, or go see a gastro MD and get something like Diflucan?
I really just wanted some confirmation from this board that someone else has had a similar reaction. It's very scary when you don't know what's wrong with you, what's causing the problem or how to treat it. Thanks for validating me on this.
