Re: firefox .pdf problem
Aha! the plot quickens--it's almost like a "police procedural"...
Now I am beginning to see the light--and synchronistically, ithas just begun to clear outside--where it's been overcast for days upon days...
The said scanner says 15 volts and 1.2A whatever that means. I cannot believe I didn't think to look on the bottom!
So now it becomes clear to me I need the 16 volt transformer--unless there is a specific reason to get a 15 volt (if in fact there is such a thing).
I've been sort of scared off trying anything, because of that instruction in the manual to use only the special Agfa power supply cord. But, as I said sometime back, the original cord wasn't in the scanner box--and the cord we got as replacement was something that looked entirely different to the one pictured. It worked... I just can't remember if it was a regular 16 volt transformer--with two prongs or whether it had three...ahhh.
About YOUR scanner--you might check on eBay where I just went looking for a power cord. I saw some devices that looked like the picture in my manual--maybe something will fit your needs...
now it's gone cloudy again...Oh well. It'll be new moon here by dinnertime.
and three hours before that , Pacific time. That should get things moving again.
