adobe is NOT in the list of programs, following those instructions. I wonder why not.. it's on the desktop

Why would Acrobat 5. on my desktop not show in my program list, when I use "open with"?

I CAN now open Adobe and from there open pdf files I've saved, so I guess my big question now is,
should I download that add-on you linked to? It sounds like it might solve a lot of problems...

it seems to install on downloading--otherwise I thought I'd run a scan on it first...
