I used to have this very same problem.
I had the blessing of finding a doctor that is also liscened as a Naturopathic practioner. I was of course placed on several supplements, no drugs at all and a green super food drink he personally formulated. As well bio-identical hormones was a part of my program. Diet guidlines and excersise daily was also added. Just the supplements alone did wonders at first to keep me from needing to desperatley nap, and I do mean desperately and tearfully if I could not get one right now when I need it. Near drove me and hubby to insanity. Waking up was just not an ideal thing for me to do.
Taking all of those supplememts amd following the diet and excercise I began to notice after a bit that I actually slept well with an occasional dream and was able to get up out of bed and start my day feeling near decent.
Problem is I noticed that if I did not excersise for a few days and slacked off of the supps I would begin to regress finding my self in need of more sleep but not neccesarily good sleep.

I began increasing the amount of home grown sprouts in my diet. Instead of a few sprouts each day I found my self eating darn near a whole tray! Still do when I have enough grown. And I made sure to excersise at least ten to fifteen minutes per day. On those days I did not need to have the supplements or the green drink. Just the large amount of sprouts added to my changing diet and the excersise.

As I reported back to my Doctor he said the single most important thing I could do to add to a healthier diet was...Excersise every day. Thing is I only excersise 1/2 of what he reccomended and still get benefits. I can imagine if I did the other 15 to 20 minutes.
The supplements and hormone balancing were fabulous to jump start me (though draining on the wallet), as I was in very bad shape and also in deep adrenal fatigue. But the increase of sprouts to my already large and loaded salads was a bonus. The vitamins and minerals packed into those little tiny living plants are by far the best multi vitamin and mineral supplement I have ever used. I am greatful to have learned about them and be able to use them. But the excersise was the key thing. I do not run or jog or do any serious areobic other than a brisk 10 to 15 minute walk. Some days not even that. Sit ups, squats leg lifts, and other muscle strecthing type excersise has served me very well (that is once I learned to get off of my duff and do them) I am now off of the supplements and green drink watching closely what affects my progress. And by far excersise gives me the need deep refreshing sleep.

The little living sprouts when eaten in enough abundance gives me a healthy energy. Of course I eat a huge amount of them. I just get these cravings for them and go for it the way I used to go for the chocolate. I know that it is my body letting me know that these tiny little plants have what it needs to operate.

One thing I have noticed really affects me now that I have seen progress, is what I eat at the evening meal. I can stuff my self silly on salads and veggies and sprouts etc. and be just fine. But eat a heavy meal for old time sake of meat and potato and or pasta and bread amd look out! I am not only immediately exhauted, but I will for sure need more sleep and it will not be quality.

Obviously for me there were a number of corrections needed in my lifestyle, but I did get results. Surprised me and hubby as we have never known me to sleep less than 10 hours in all of our marriage. My grown children are quite suprised to.

Anyway you can do a search sprouts and nutrition and find a wealth of info on the subject, but I ordered several books and went for the gusto. They do help me keep up with the excersise habit.
