the more you eat, the more work for your body, organs, digestive and elimination systems, so the more sleep you need
in mexico, a siesta, nap, is taken after eating a big lunch, so the body can digest the large afternoon meal.
the body digests, detoxes, cleanses, heals, rebuilds and repairs itself while we sleep. so if you need a lot of sleep, pay attention to your body and sleep.
after I followed mh's 40 day juice fast, cleaned my colon with LBB and correct diet and removed mucus and congestion with herbs, spices, steams, sitz, hot herbal baths and stayed on a mono fruitarian and liquidarian diet I needed much less sleep because my body was not exhausted and tired from having to work to digest, remove and eliminate so many different foods mucus congestion and toxins.
