Re: can helping others help your health? hm..
ABA-SO-LUTELY!!! :-) Helping others is as good for the 'helper' as it is for the
'helpee' :-) And see...you proved it yesterday! I'll bet that lady went home
and the first 2 or 3 friends or family members she talked to...she told them about
the nice young man that helped her at Walmart. And I'll bet she bragged on your
kindness and eagerness to help...and she probably even said something like, "it's
a shame there aren't more nice young people like you." Are you wondering why I
KNOW all of this? :-) Because I'm a senior citizen myself...and I know how good
"I" feel when I meet a nice young person...they're not that easy to find these days...sorry to say....so be proud you are one in a million! Because you are!
I've read many of your posts, Kevin...I haven't read them all. But I've studied
natural healing for 3 decades and I think I 'know' people, too...because I'm a real
people person myself. And I just know in my heart that your life is about to take
a turn for the better...BIG TIME!!!
I don't think you ever found my other post...and it's been a couple of weeks...and
I can't remember what all I said. But I do know I encouraged you to look for something besides Walmart when you get settled in Oklahoma..."IF" Walmart is not your cup of tea. Home Depot...UPS...FED X...Lots of places start with pretty high
pay. If there's a Whole Foods Health Food Store near you in Oklahoma...that would
be a good choice....I think their minimum pay starts at about $14 a hour. :-)
But the main thing is that you get out on your own....get away from the pressures
and negativity of your present surroundings...and get going with your life. I can
tell from reading your posts that you are a very good and caring person that's just
been beat into the ground too many times. You talk about yourself like you think
you're good for nothing...but that's hogwash....you're a wonderful person...I can
tell from your posting.
And as far as what you said about working with young people in some way. Get to
Oklahoma and get settled and look into the possibilities. You know, one good
thing would be a school teacher. I've always been a homemaker...and I've loved
every minute of it. I always wanted to be a stay at home wife and mom who just
cooked, cleaned and saw to the family...and I'm so glad I've done that. But I
always thought if I ever got a real 'job'...it would be school teacher...because
so many kids hate school...and dread it from day to day...and I always thought it
would be so neat to be their teacher...and make school and learning FUN. :-)
You could even teach teens...that would be wonderful...especially since you've
had a few rough teen years...and you would understand where they're coming from
with their problems. And you would be a tremendous help and support for them. And
you could also be one of the best teachers your part of the country has ever seen.
Just don't get out there and move too fast. Give yourself a little time to get
settled and comfortable. Get a little money put back...give yourself some breathing
room and enjoy life just a little bit. Give your body time to start healing itself...I believe it will start that healing the minute you hit the road on Oct 30th...I think you said the 30th. If you're driving...you'll get in that car, and
head out of town...and as you drive across your present county line...you will
already feel like you can breathe deeper...and you will feel a load lifted. I'm
so excited for you I just can't wait.
The sky is the limit for you, Kevin. So shoot for the moon!!! There's a saying...
"If you shoot for the moon and miss...you'll still be one of the stars" :-)
Gads...keep us posted. You have become the 'star' of curezone already. Everybody
that's serious about helping others...is already on your side cheering you along.
You're going to be just fine!!! kathryn
