Re: YERBA Tea

I drink Yerba Mate and Green Tea both, but I tend to prefer the Mate. I like the earthy taste, the un-jittery boost you get in the morning (agree that it's less edgy than green tea), the mental clarity, appetite suppression (I also drink it in the afternoon when I get hungry) and it's excellent paristalsis properties.

It's the perfect diet/fast tea because it keeps up your energy while supressing your appetite and keeps your bowels moving. When I'm taking Dr. Nativa colon cleansing fibre, I use Yerba Mate every morning for bowl movement within the hour (instead of taking the claritea). Its always the right consistancy no matter how much or little water I had the day before.

When I'm in the mood for an earthy tasting tea (most often) I reach for the yerba mate, when I want more of a clean flavor I go for the green tea (less often). There's quite a variation in the taste of Yerba Mate. It's usually between a grassy or earthy taste. I prefer the earthy taste, and my favorite by far is the Nativa brand.
