there are many forms of Yerba know what you have.
Yerba mansa is grown west of the Mississippi and as far as Mexico.
It is good for Insomnia, fever, and muscle aches.
It is used for a great many other reasons as well.
It is defintiely NOT for pg or nursing women,
and can compound the effects of sedatives and barbituates,
since it alreay has sleeping inducing properties of its own.
Yerba santa is grown
mainly in california
and through out northern mexico.
It has generally been used to treat a variety of problems
such as:
allergies, asthma, bronchitis,colds, cramps, fevers,
urinary tract infections, thrush, and yeast infections.
Essential oils made with this herb, can help break up congestion,
ease inflamation, and aide in excess fluid elimination.
(both of these attributes are great for
Arthritis pain)
It also seems to have an anti-cancer action as well.
It has no safety precautions to it.
Yerba Buena is of a entirely diiferent family name group,
but is commonly used to assist in arthritic problems.
Yerba Mat'e
is used as a coffee substitute in South America
It contains less caffiene than coffee and comes in
green and black varieties.
It is also called Paraguay tea.
it is a member of the holly family,
and grows in Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina.
It is beneficial for headaches, migraines,
stimulant for mental and physical energy,...
is a excellent blood purifier,
and is a very good substitute for folks that want to
break coffee addiction
without the caffeine withdrawal *shakes*
(remember it does still have caffeine! lol )
The caffeines in green teas are higher
than in yerba mat'e,
but are of a non toxic form
and easily processed thru the body.
Caffeine from other sources are still not healthy
ways to *stimulate the body.
I can think of a great many other herbs
of non caffiene content that are stimulants.
Hope this info helps you.
