Hello comico120,

I'm sorry to hear that your family doesn't recognize for what you are as a being. In fact they should expand their horizons to accept you so that they can experience universal love that God gives to anyone.

To tell you the truth about being born gay, there's some truth in it. About myself, I'm gay as well, but wondered myself why I was gay, so I searched within, asking myself, even meditated/contemplated the situation/feelings at that time and discovered that I was born gay to experience the other side of the coin.
If you believe in "reincarnation" concept, then what I'm telling you might make sense up to a point. In fact everyone is a soul who has incarnated into a human body to experience the human live so that the soul can experience the broad horizons and experiences that a human life can offer to help in the ascension of the soul. So in the end I'm gay in this life to expand my horizons and experience this side of my life and even experience the universal lofe that comes with it from that perspective. So I think being born gay is just a choice made before incarnating in the current life. So why not experience this life the way I want to be/choose to expand my horizons and offer unconditional/universal love.

I hope I'm making any sense.
