I agree with you on the fact that there are numerous companies trying to get a big payola from this new fashionably hip trend of bottled water.

However, there is legitimate SCIENTIFIC research being done on properties of water and environmental impact on its quality (environmental as in physical matter, electromagnetic radiation, and yes thoughts/emotions are part of it).

A basic chemistry course will provide information on water clustering and structuring depending on things like type of solute, concentrations, temperature. The bond angles from a water molecule can easily be changed by changing the environmental variables (intermolecular forces have a big saying on bond angles - also applying high frequency emr can easily change them as well).

As it's well known when microwaves are applied to water, the water molecules will vibrate franticly at the same frequency. Anything that emits electromagnetic radiation (which is everything in the universe except dark matter and high gravitational fields like black holes) has the capacity of changing the vibration pattern of water molecules. Heating the water in a stove is applying infrared waves to heat up the water. The water molecules will vibrate at the same frequency and generate heat.

Here's a not so hard leap of "faith" that you can now do - applying sound waves to water molecules will alter its vibration pattern - sounds is simply pattern of waves of air. It has been shown that various types of music alter the structure of water crystals once cooled down below freezing point - for example, Dr Emoto has shown that relaxing classical music creates a well structured crystal, versus heavy metal music which seems to disrupt the proper formation of the water crystal. Each type of music will create a different type of crystal (since the sound waves have different patterns).

Here's the "hard" part to understand: our thoughts emit vibrational patterns - if you want to get scientific, the neuron synapses which are part of thought process are nothing but electromagnetic circuits in nature - as the neurons are fired up and electron flow is taking place electromagnetic radiation waves are generated - simple physics.

So, if you think about something that makes you happy, it will emit a specific vibrational pattern (every thought and emotion has a different mattrix of neurons being used so a different vibrational pattern is created). These vibrational patterns are being released 24/7 to your environment. Any physical matter is subjected to interaction with the vibrational waves. So if you think about something that emits thoughts of happinness, your surroundings will be subjected to that vibrational pattern and be affected. Things like water (and any physical matter) can easily resonate with those thoughts.

For example, if you write a kind word with meaning in it such as gratitude, the vibrational pattern that triggered the thought of gratitude is imprinted in the piece of paper and you can attach to a bottle of water to have it resonate at the same frequency - this is the "infectious" nature and process of our emotions.

So in conclusion, you can indeed make water happy/sad/good/bad by altering its vibrational pattern (your body is emits these so whether you like or not you are affecting your environment).

I have a strong background in Science (biochemistry and physical chemistry mostly) and being awaken to this type of knowledge was great and to tell you the truth, it was simple to adopt because this is in line with cutting edge Science - this type of research is mostly kept underground but good to see it pop up once in a while.
