Re: Question: coffee and fasting?

I'm drinking coffee on my fast, and I don't know how it's affecting it, but it helps me a lot with my hunger as well, and I guess the calories help keep up my energy. I actually use a lot of cream, so I would probably do better to not have coffee at all, but like I said, it really has helped me with the hunger. I think it's probably better to stick with liquids, even if they aren't just water, if they help keep you from eating. Bad liquids are probably better than food, if you're trying to fast. I would also say that if you're careful about limiting your coffee intake, and monitoring your cream and sugar, that you probably won't be doing too much damage. I'm going to try to quit coffee next week. I'm on day 4 right now, of a possible 30 day fast, depending on my progress. How long are you planning to fast? It may not be that hard to quit coffee if it's just a short fast. Anyway, good luck!
