You need a certain magnesium to calcium ratio in your body. One of the problems with milk is that it's way too high in calcium in comparison to magnesium. When you consume calcium, you need to take magnesium with it. Otherwise, too much calcium causes the body to not absorb magnesium properly into the bones.
