Best places & prices to get virgin coconut oil here...

I've done a lot of research and reading and thought I would share what I feel to be the two best places with the best prices for getting virgin coconut oil online to help everyone out. :) For a small order, http://www.coconutoil-online.com/ has the best price per pound if you are wanting to only order a pound or two (which would be approximatly a pint and a quart) and the brand name is Coconut Supreme. Wilderness Family Naturals at http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/mall/virgin_coconut_oil.asp
has three different types of virgin coconut oil (also refered to as VCO). One is the India oil which is imported from the exact same location as the Coconut Supreme, another is the South Pacific oil, and lastly the Philippine oil. The Philipine oil is new and they are getting it from a company that just started importing to the US and it is the cheapest since the company offered them such good prices on it. I talked with the owner and she said the taste is identical to the India oil, the only way she can tell a differnce between the two is when they are solid they have a little different texture. The South Pacific is the same prices currently, but she told me their supplier is fixing to raise the price on them so it is fixing to go up a bit. If you are wanting to buy in bulk it is cheaper than Coconut Supreme or www.tropicaltraditions.com even with Tropical's free shipping on orders over $50. Wilderness is the cheapest on the 1/2 gallon, one gallon and 5 gallon pail and Coconut Supreme is the best priced for the pint and quart. Tropical Traditions is more expensive on each size of the virgin coconut oil, but I buy my expressed coconut oil there. I use it to do the occasional frying in and to cook with items that I prefer not to have a coconut flavor--such as the Garden Taters we had tonight. I also used it as a conditioner on my hair, worked marvelously. It was so soft, just as soft as with using two different conditioners that I usually do, and I didn't have to use any chemicals! :) I also bought Tropical Traditions coconut oil roll on deodorant and it is working quite well. My husband works at a pig farm and is using it and hasn't had any complaints even when it reached past 90 the other day here in Oklahoma. For both of us the smell took a bit of getting used to though, it has three different essential oils from woods (ceder is one of them) so it has this woody scent that is really strong when it is first opened. After a few days it mellowed out more and or else we have became used to it. :) And Tropical Traditions is a wonderful site for those looking for information about coconut oil and its benefits and why it is one of the best oils you can consume in your diet. http://www.coconutoil-online.com/ is also a great place to go to get information, I highly recommend both of them. I hope this information is helpful to someone. :) Caitlin Lorraine
